Sterling Associates
Owner-operated by Stephen D’Atri

Leading the way for 30 years

Stephen’s family has been in the antique business for for 70 years, and he has more than 30 years of direct experience.

Stephen spent his entire youth working with his family. Once he graduated from Rutgers University, he attended the New York School of Interior Design. He opened Sterling Restoration and Antique D’Zynes in 1989. In 2011, Stephen further expanded his business, adding online auctions to his repertoire. Today, Sterling Associates, Inc is a combination of his efforts.

Sterling Associates, Inc. is a full service Antique Gallery, restoration facility and Auction House. Sterling’s Antique Gallery specializes in the finest European and American Antiques. The museum quality restorations provided are historically accurate and are performed in house; overseen by Stephen himself. The Auctions, otherwise known as “hybrid auctions” are conducted online exactly like a live auction, but without a live audience. Although all of the bidding is done by internet, Sterling is a permanent brick and mortar company; enabling anyone to preview the items in person prior to auction day.

Stephen is endlessly searching throughout the world to provide a never ending and changing selection of fine quality antiques for collectors, interior designers and decorators.

Sterling Associates Auction House graciously offers a better estate settlement solution. Stephen is always seeking outright purchases or consignments of entire estates or individual items such as Sculptures, Paintings, Porcelain, Silver, Jewelry, Furniture, Coins, Clocks and much more. Stephen also offers services for Estate and Tag Sales.

Since its founding, Sterling has grown from a one-man operation in a 1,000 sq. ft venue to a company with 15 employees in a 10,000 square foot building.

Stephen’s main goal is to be a friendly, diversified business that is happy to handle a variety of fresh to the market antiques.
